An Ideal Sunday (for me!)

Wake up at 7am then prepare for our Church Anniversary worship service. Prepare my spirit to enter at the new church - meaning fully air-conditioned room, with lots of cute and bright lights, floor-to-ceiling curtains, and completely different vibe inside. Spend my Sunday half day at church listening intently and pouring my heart out at the message. :) The theme? "In Everything Give Thanks." The message was quiet moving because the Pastor told us that despite all the heartbreaks, there are still so much to be thankful for. Yayy! :) After the service, a lunch fellowship followed. Yum. ♥

Go home at 12, play a bit of Plants vs Zombies, read FHM (joke!) haha :), read magazines, then SIESTA time! Sleep for 2.5 hours then force myself to wake up because Mommy's here! Which means lots and lots AND lots of foods are going to be served. Had the best oink oink moments for the past month plus sisterly bonding with the mother and a niece. Happy, happy Sunday afternoon! ♥

Then tsismisan time! Watch The Buzz because Kris will already leave the show. Wala lang. :) Then a friend texted us for us to have some bonding moment. Destination: Baybay! Hehe :) Isaw and shake then BIKE! Kapagod. :p but when we saw the full moon, wow.. we were in total AWE. Ang ganda lang! :)

End the night with chao-long! Yum. Went home at 9. Konting chika, tulog na. :)

This is my kind of Sunday! Happy, happy lang.. No bad vibes na kasi. :):):)

Zzzz.

*ps: i don't use past tense bec gusto ko lang.. :) gusto ko lang kasi maulit uli ito.. hehe!

“A Real Woman”

Written by Philip Hainline, Heidi Reimer, and Maria Reimer at the respective ages of 16, 19, and 17.

A real woman …
…is glad she’s a woman and rejoices in her femininity, expressing it through her attitude, appearance and bearing. (1 Timothy 2:9-10)

does not compete for equality with men or chafe at God’s design for male and female, but delights in and understands the importance of her calling to complement man’s role. (1 Timothy 2:11-12, Ephesians 5:22-24)

…values the cultivation of her mind and diligently seeks after wisdom and knowledge. (Proverbs 22:17-21, 2:2-6)

…realizes her imperative need to allow the Holy Spirit to control her emotions and expressions of them. (James 1:19-20)

does not wallow in self-pity or make a habit of voicing complaints, but radiates cheerfulness and joy. (Proverbs 15:15, Proverbs 17:22)

appreciates her father’s protection, and respects and submits to his authority. In so doing, she is preparing herself to exercise the Biblical role in her relationship with a possible future husband. (Ephesians 5:33-6:3, 1 Peter 3:1-2)

…is trustworthy and gains the respect of those around her. (Proverbs 31:11)

restrains herself from listening to, or participating in gossip, but instead speaks with wisdom and discretion. (Proverbs 11:12-13, 22, 20:19, 3:11)

encourages and builds up those around her instead of criticizing and tearing them down. (1 Thessalonians 5:11, Ephesians 4:29)

does not have a nagging, contentious or manipulative manner in which she deals with others. (Judges 16:16, Proverbs 21:9, 19, 26:21)

…is not boisterous or loud in her speech or actions but is characterized by a gentle and quiet spirit. (Proverbs 9:13, 1 Peter 3:4)

…portrays chastity, modesty and reverence in her manner, and wears the ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is her true beauty. (1 Peter 3:3-4, Titus 2:4-5)

…is not offended by respect shown her through gentlemanly courtesies (opening doors, etc.) but cultivates the differences between the sexes that make her worthy of this deference. (1 Peter 3:7, Mark 10:6)

…seeks to make God her number one desire and the Lover of her soul, knowing that only He can fully satisfy. (Psalm 73:25, Psalm 63:1)

…uses her years of singleness to seek and serve God without distraction, and is content to leave the details of her future to Him. (Psalm 73:25, Philippians 4:11)

…does not relate to members of the opposite sex in a flirtatious or forward manner, but instead saves all her passion for her future husband. (Thessalonians 4:3-8, Proverbs 6:25, 1 Corinthians 7:1)

…holds her virginity before marriage sacred and will not compromise it for anything. (This one goes for guys too)
(1 Timothy 5:22)

just a quick note for myself!

i would love to have a new challenge in my life right now.. i felt like i needed to have new outlets of my energy and intellect. i don't feel the challenge anymore of where i am right now.. having to sit in front of a computer for 10 hours with nothing to do, it's tiring. my creativity and my wit are not challenged anymore and it's not good.

i am just super looking forward when the time comes wherein i will be able to practice my being independent and being strong once again. i think it will be the biggest challenge i will ever face and i'm EXCITED. :) i will really pray that it will push through. :) i really feel that i can be so much more.. that i can give and offer more, kailangan lang ma-practice.

i already posted a little reminder of that challenge and i'm all up for it.. though it's still two years from now, i'll take lessons already of what i will be needing then when that exciting time comes..

GO FOR GOLD! :)

20 Ways To Find Your Beauty

You are beautiful—inside and out!
by: Becky Kho

  1. Beautiful is a dreamer.
At no other time in your life will dreaming be as sweet and thrilling. Anything is truly possible. Your future can be whatever you want it to be. So dream a lot, dream big, dream far and wide.

  2. Beautiful is a healthy body.
Forget those skinny girls on billboards and magazines. Those girls are not you. You were born with a unique body. It's a waste not to appreciate what you've been blessed with—a body that allows you to run, dance, swim, breathe, hug, paint, and grow.

  3. Beautiful is a cheerful spirit.
Feeling bummed and depressed is part of being a teenager. It's hard not to feel that way with all the changes that hit you. But you can choose not to let all those things pull you down. Whenever life hands you a toughie, deal with it as best you can and keep your chin up. Then get some sleep. Things always look better in the morning.

  4. Beautiful is a friend
Who sits with you. Remember that scene in Notting Hill where Julia and Hugh sneak into a private garden and discover a charming bench? They sit together in silent, comforting company. You know you've met a keeper of a friend if she understands there are times when you just need to be quiet together.

  5. Beautiful is saying thank you.
Breathtaking scenes are all around us. Friends giggling over a secret, moms carrying their babies, lovers walking hand in hand, trees standing tall and proud. Give thanks for the abundance.

  6. Beautiful is a kind heart.
Being patient when you're in a hurry, being gracious when you want to throw a fit, staying silent when you want to insult a classmate, helping your brother with his homework when all you want to do is surf the Net, being gentle with your forgetful grandmother—each day is an opportunity to extend kindness.

  7. Beautiful is a bright, shining smile.
We all know that people smile when they feel good, but did you know the reverse also works? Smile first, then feel good. On a down day, try smiling to yourself. It's an instant pick-me-up, plus you'll give your face a lovely exclamation point. Just look at Anne Hathaway.

  8. Beautiful is poetry.
Sometimes, all it takes to feel better is a few lines of a poem that speaks to you. Find a poet you like and memorize one of his or her works. Try Robert Frost, whose works are wonderful companions for life. A few of his poems can be found on www.favoritepoem.org, where you can also submit your own favorites. Or why don't you sit down, and try writing your own poem? Don't be afraid to unleash your inner poet.

  9. Beautiful is enjoying what you wear.
Dressing up can sometimes be an ordeal. How can you really tell if what you're wearing looks cool? Or worse, what if it's no longer in style? The real secret to looking great is feeling great. Wear what's comfortable for you, what's fun for you, and what you love—your size doesn't matter.

  10. Beautiful is old-fashioned.
It's the new millennium, but some of the most beautiful things in the world come from the old days: greeting cards, three red roses, playing jackstones, long-playing records, flying a kite.
  1. Beautiful is a perfect day.
Thank God for those days when everything just goes right. You wake up early enough for a hearty breakfast, Mom allows you to go to the barkada slumber party, your group gets an A on your report, the boy you like lends you the new Cobra Starship CD, and there's a new episode of Glee.

  2. Beautiful is looking neat.
No matter what clothes or makeup you have on, it won't do you any good if you don't look neat. Check your nails, your hair, and your teeth. It's the simplest way to look pretty.

  3. Beautiful is your own creation.
Be it a pot, a painting, or a poem, something fashioned from your own imagination is always a sight to behold.

  4. Beautiful is a great comeback.
Jennifer Capriati wasn't always the championship-winning tennis player she is today. During her younger years, she fell into drugs and got into all sorts of trouble. But she eventually cleaned up her act and is now determined to make the most of her smashing talent. We all fail, but we all have the capacity to try again.

  5. Beautiful is a good night's sleep.
Sometimes, all it takes to rid your face of pesky pimples is sleep. Yup, a solid eight (even 10) hours of shuteye should do the trick. It'll also give your body time to recharge all its systems and get you in top form for a brand-new day of challenges.

  6. Beautiful is marching to your own drum.
Individuality rocks! Stay true to yourself by pursuing your own passion, dressing in your own style, even just eating the junk food that thrills your taste buds.

  7. Beautiful is a gutsy girl.
Is there something you've been dying to do but haven't because you're frozen in fear-like trying out for the school paper, asking your crush to watch a movie, or telling Dad you're sorry for snapping at him? Now take a deep breath, then go for it. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for the future you. Years from now, you'll look back at your young self and beam with pride.

  8. Beautiful is a fresh scent.
Our noses recognize beauty, too. Always carry a refreshing scent with you so you can spritz on a clean, pretty feeling anytime.

  9. Beautiful is a buzzing brain.
Ask questions. Ponder mysteries. Talk to all kinds of people. Read like you're starving. Open your eyes.

  10. Beautiful is self-confidence.
The real secret to being beautiful? Believe in yourself. How you see yourself is how you'll carry yourself in the world. So if you see a smart, spunky, and special girl, that's what others will see too!
